George C. Wallace Quotes

A collection of quotes by George C. Wallace.

George C. Wallace was an American politician who served as the 45th Governor of Alabama for four non-consecutive terms during the mid-20th century. He gained national attention for his staunch segregationist stance and opposition to the civil rights movement. Wallace famously declared in his 1963 inaugural address, "Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever." However, later in life, he moderated his views and sought redemption for his past actions. Wallace's political career was marred by an attempted assassination in 1972, which left him paralyzed. He died in 1998 at the age of 79.
