Lynette Fromme, also known as "Squeaky" Fromme, is an American criminal. Born in 1948, she gained notoriety as a member of the Manson Family, a cult led by Charles Manson, notorious for a series of murders in the late 1960s. Fromme herself did not participate in the Manson Family's violent actions but became infamous for her attempt to assassinate President Gerald Ford in 1975. After her arrest, she was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, though she was released on parole in 2009. Since then, Lynette Fromme has remained largely out of the public eye.
