Vernon Law is a former American professional baseball player, born on March 12, 1930, in Meridian, Idaho. Law is best known for his successful career as a right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Law made his MLB debut in 1950 with the Pirates but was called to serve in the military during the Korean War, causing him to miss several seasons. He returned to the Pirates in 1954 and quickly became a key figure in their pitching rotation.

Law's breakthrough season came in 1960 when he won the Cy Young Award, honoring the best pitcher in the league.
