Fritz Sauckel (1894-1946) was a German politician and Nazi war criminal. He held several high-ranking positions in the Nazi regime, including General Plenipotentiary for Slave Labor Deployment during World War II. Sauckel was responsible for the forced labor of millions of people, both prisoners of war and civilians, who were subjected to brutal conditions under his command. After Germany's defeat, he was tried at the Nuremberg Trials for war crimes and crimes against humanity and was found guilty. Sauckel was executed by hanging in 1946.
