George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) was an Irish playwright, critic, and polemicist. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest dramatists of the English language. Renowned for his wit and satire, Shaw used his plays to challenge societal norms and explore complex issues such as class inequality, women's rights, and the hypocrisy of conventional morality. Notable works include "Pygmalion," from which the musical "My Fair Lady" was adapted, and "Man and Superman."
