Sir William Henry Bragg (1862-1942) was a British physicist and Nobel laureate. He is best known for his contributions to the field of X-ray crystallography, which enabled the determination of the atomic structure of crystals. Bragg formulated Bragg's Law, a fundamental principle in X-ray diffraction, and he and his son Lawrence Bragg jointly received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1915 for their pioneering work in this area.
