Akhmad Kadyrov (1951-2004) was a prominent political and religious figure from Chechnya, Russia. He started his career as a Muslim cleric and later became the mufti of the Chechen Republic. Kadyrov greatly influenced the religious and cultural landscape of Chechnya through his efforts to restore Islamic traditions and rebuild mosques. In 2003, he was appointed as the president of Chechnya by the Russian government, aiming to stabilize the war-torn region. However, Kadyrov was tragically killed in a bomb attack in 2004. His son, Ramzan Kadyrov, succeeded him as the President of Chechnya.
