Baldur von Schirach Quotes

A collection of quotes by Baldur von Schirach.

Baldur von Schirach was a prominent Nazi politician and leader of the Hitler Youth during the Third Reich in Germany. Born on May 9, 1907, in Berlin, Germany, he was attracted to far-right ideologies from an early age. In the early 1920s, Schirach joined several right-wing, nationalist organizations before eventually becoming a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) in 1925.

Schirach quickly rose through the ranks of the Nazi Party and became a trusted associate of Adolf Hitler. In 1931, he was appointed the leader of the Hitler Youth, where he played a central role in indoctrinating German youth with Nazi ideology. Under his leadership, the Hitler Youth grew in membership and influence, shaping the minds of countless young Germans.

During World War II, Schirach served as a military officer, though he had limited success and was eventually reassigned to focus on his role in the Hitler Youth. Despite his loyalty to the Nazi regime, Schirach fell out of favor with Hitler in 1940 due to disagreements over the handling of youth education.

At the end of the war, Schirach was arrested by the Allied forces and charged with war crimes. He was found guilty at the Nuremberg Trials for his involvement in the deportation of Jews to extermination camps and sentenced to 20 years in prison. After his release in 1966, Schirach lived a relatively quiet and reclusive life until his death on August 8, 1974.
