Earl Browder (1891-1973) was an American communist leader and politician. He served as the General Secretary of the CPUSA from 1930 to 1945, advocating for workers' rights and socialism. Browder was a prominent figure during the Great Depression and World War II, but his ideas were increasingly viewed as controversial post-war.
