Heber J. Grant was an American religious leader and the seventh President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was born on November 22, 1856, in Salt Lake City, Utah Territory, to Jedediah M. Grant and Rachel Ridgeway Ivins. Grant became an orphan at the age of nine, following the death of his father.
