John Dickinson (1732-1808) was a Founding Father of the United States, a lawyer, and a politician. He was born in Maryland and later moved to Pennsylvania. Dickinson played a significant role in the American Revolution, advocating for colonial rights and opposing British taxation policies. He drafted "Letters from a Farmer in Pennsylvania" (1767-1768), which articulated the colonists' grievances. He also contributed to the Articles of Confederation and served as a delegate to the Continental Congress. Furthermore, Dickinson played a part in drafting the Constitution and became known as the "Penman of the Revolution."
