Jordyn Wieber is a retired American artistic gymnast. Born on July 12, 1995, in DeWitt, Michigan, she began gymnastics at a young age and quickly rose to prominence in the sport. Wieber won numerous national and international titles, including the all-around gold medal at the 2011 World Championships. She was a member of the "Fierce Five" U.S. women's gymnastics team that won the team gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. After retiring from competitive gymnastics, Wieber became an advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and has been instrumental in bringing awareness to the issue within the gymnastics community.
