Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918) was an American poet and journalist. Born in New Jersey, Kilmer attended Rutgers College and Columbia University before pursuing a career in journalism. He worked for several newspapers, including The New York Times. Kilmer is best known for his poem "Trees," a widely celebrated piece of literature. He published several anthologies of his poetry, including "Airmen and Other Poems" and "Main Street and Other Poems."
