Larry Csonka is a former American professional football player, best known for his time as a fullback with the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on December 25, 1946, in Stow, Ohio. Csonka had a remarkable career and was a key player on the Dolphins' Super Bowl winning teams in the early 1970s.

Csonka attended Syracuse University, where he became one of the most dominant running backs in college football history. In 1968, he won the Maxwell Award as the nation's outstanding player and led Syracuse to an undefeated season, earning him the nickname "The Horse."

After being drafted by the Dolphins in the first round of the 1968 NFL Draft, Csonka quickly made an impact on the field.
