Lee Myung-bak is a South Korean politician who served as the President of South Korea from 2008 to 2013. Born on December 19, 1941, in Osaka, Japan, during the period of Japanese occupation, Lee Myung-bak migrated to South Korea in 1946 as a child. He emerged from humble beginnings, growing up in poverty and working menial jobs to support his family.

Lee pursued a degree in Business Administration from the Korea University, after which he joined Hyundai Engineering and Construction, a prominent South Korean company. Rising through the ranks, he eventually became the CEO of Hyundai Construction America, playing a significant role in the company's growth and expansion.
