Michael Drayton was an English poet and playwright who lived from 1563 to 1631. He is best known for his epic poem, Poly-Olbion, which was published in two parts between 1612 and 1622. Poly-Olbion is a topographical poem that celebrates the landscapes, rivers, and legends of England and Wales. Drayton's work was highly regarded during his lifetime and he was considered one of the leading poets of the Elizabethan era.
