Morarji Ranchhodji Desai, popularly known as Moraji R. Desai, was an Indian politician and a distinguished leader of the Indian National Congress. He was born on February 29, 1896, in Bhadeli, Gujarat, British India. Desai played a vital role in the freedom struggle of India against British colonial rule.
