A collection of quotes by Paul von Hindenburg.
Paul von Hindenburg (1847-1934) was a German military officer and politician. He was born in Posen, Prussia (now Poznań, Poland) and began his military career in the Prussian Army at a young age. Hindenburg rose to prominence during World War I as a successful commander and strategist, becoming a national hero. He was appointed as the President of the German Republic in 1925 and was later reelected in 1932. However, due to his declining health and increasing influence of Adolf Hitler, Hindenburg became a controversial figure. He died in 1934, a year before Hitler consolidated absolute power in Germany.
