A collection of quotes by Publius Ovidius NasoOvid.
Publius Ovidius Naso, known as Ovid, was an ancient Roman poet born on March 20, 43 BCE, in Sulmo, Italy. He is best known for his masterpiece, "Metamorphoses," an epic poem comprising 15 books that explore the transformation of mythical characters in Roman and Greek mythology. Ovid's innovative and imaginative storytelling style brought him enormous popularity during his time. However, his controversial and erotic works, such as "Ars Amatoria" and "Metamorphoses," led to his banishment from Rome by Emperor Augustus in 8 CE. Despite his exile, Ovid continued to produce notable verses until his death in 17 or 18 CE in Tomis, modern-day Romania.
