Thomas Ken (1637-1711) was an English bishop and hymn writer. He was born in Somerset and educated at Winchester College and Oxford University. Ken became a prominent clergyman during the reign of King Charles II and was known for his strong religious convictions. He served as a chaplain to the royal court and later became the Bishop of Bath and Wells. Ken is best remembered for his hymns, particularly "Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow" (also known as the Doxology), which is still widely sung in churches today.
