Casey (Charles Dillon) Stengel (1890-1975) was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played in the Major Leagues from 1912 to 1925, primarily as an outfielder. Stengel then transitioned to managing and became one of the most successful managers in baseball history. He notably led the New York Yankees to ten American League pennants and seven World Series championships between 1949 and 1960.
